"Beachability is the reason we decided to take a family holiday to the east coast somewhere that holds so many memories for me growing up and visiting and also my grandad living in Sutton on sea so the nostalgia and the beach wheelchairs sealed it for us. At the time when we first started using my kids were still young and the thought of not going on the beach again (I'm unstable on solid ground never mind sand ) was quite upsetting as I love the beach and sound of the sea and wanted to enjoy it with my son's. We came once and now it's our happy place even at 17 and 15 my kids still love getting on the sand and having a wrestle or a game of rounders. Over the years we've had picnics, games of rounders and lots of heartwarming memories that I will forever be thankful to beachability for. I've tried both the wheelchairs and one year on a good day I tried the walker (didn't ask about locking the wheels and well I ended up in the sea so always ask if unsure as the lovely volunteers are only too happy to help but again it created a memory). I'm also thankful for the friends I've gained through beachability and our family are genuinely thankful that no matter how bad my mobility gets (currently ambulatory wheelchair user as can walk a little on solid ground with crutches) I will always have access to our happy place"
