Meet the Beach Ability Team

Beach Ability began with a simple but powerful idea — to make our beloved Lincolnshire beaches accessible to everyone.

That idea came from Teresa Price, who, alongside her late husband Glen, recognised the need for beach wheelchairs and began raising funds to make it happen. Joined by Kev Wright and Sue Wright, the team — all administrators of the Ingoldmells and Chapel Fans Facebook group — used the power of their online community to rally support. With the help of generous local businesses, caravan owners, and holidaymakers, they successfully raised the funds needed to launch the project. And so, Beach Ability was born at Inoldmells Beach. Afterwards, Leanne joined the team, bringing her energy, dedication, and personal experience to the growing project. As a mum of four, including her son Oliver, who is a wheelchair user, Leanne understood first-hand how important it is for every family member to be able to enjoy time together on the beach without barriers. Over the years, this founding group has worked tirelessly to establish Beach Ability as a trusted and reliable service, and we are proud to now be a registered charity, with Teresa, Kev and Leanne serving as trustees. Leanne, with the support of the trustees and a core volunteer team, is now working with a wide range of relevant organisations, partners and local communities to help expand the service along the Lincolnshire coast.
